Brugal Rum is the pride of the Dominican Republic as the only 100% Dominican rum on the market. From the harvesting of local sugar cane to the final aging process, all elements of craftsmanship take place in and use the finest ingredients from the Dominican Republic.

This is the way Brugal premium rums have been made since the company’s founding in 1888 by Don Andres Brugal. His vision and experience have been passed on through five generations of the Brugal family – expert artisans in the production of the finest rum. The Maestros Roneros – Masters of Rum – are not only members of the Brugal family legacy, but personal guardians of the entire rum making process; they painstakingly nurture each and every stage of rum production before bestowing their personal seal of approval upon the final results.

In 2008, The Edrington Group of Scotland took a majority stake in Brugal with a vision combining the rum expertise of the Brugal family with the esteemed aging skills represented in The Edrington Group’s well-respected line of Scotch Whiskies, including The Macallan and Highland Park. Now available in select U.S. markets, Brugal Rum continues to preserve the tradition, authenticity and quality for which it is famous.
